First Person created a blueprint for the 20-minute event which included the development of a captivating theme, the visual direction of the virtual event, the storyline for the run of the show, and the video production of the event.

Additionally, the First Person team created supporting materials including three product videos, two vertical videos, and social media assets.

Process

Theme Development

To create a consistent look and feel for the Cisco Next-Generation launch event the First Person team came up with the central theme of Unite Your Edge.The Unite Your Edge theme acted as a guide for other event assets and design development within Cisco and other outside vendors creating associated content for the event.

Virtual Production

The approach for this event was a pre-recorded interview show format with Jeff Lund facilitating the conversation between Vikas Butaney, Kevin Prouty an IDC Analyst, and the Cisco Product Team. This conversational style made the product information more approachable and offered flexibility in editorial to bring up full-frame slides to illustrate talking points.The virtual event was shot entirely on a green screen using Unreal Engine 3D technology to create the actual set you see in real-time. Just minimal practical propping was brought in for the show participants to interact with and sit on.

Two vertical videos were also created to support the Cisco Next-Generation Industrial Router portfolio launch event that dives into transportation and utility use cases.
