The Future of Industry is Digital
Industrial Markets Are In A State Of Change
As the first Digital Industrial company, GE is at the forefront of a revolution to equip industrial customers with the data, analytics, and insights needed to thrive in a digital-first world.
But how could GE convey the value of Digital to largely analog industries that don’t easily embrace technology or change?
You show GE solutions in action, by turning nascent technologies, and abstract data into easy to grasp visual stories supported by credible outcomes and teachable moments, for real customers, under real world circumstances.

The Launch Of GE Software
Over the past seven years, GE and First Person have partnered to bring Digital Transformation to life across multiple industries, for a global customer audience. Our relationship began in 2001 when GE opened the Software Center in San Ramon, California.
We launched two visionary videos telling the story of the Industrial Internet, and Predix™ setting the tempo for GE's dynamic shift from an industrial company to a software company.
First Person® continues to work closely with GE businesses across Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Mining & Transportation, Renewables, Current, Global Research, Healthcare and Digital to help define and structure dynamic stories and experiences that go deep into GE’s capabilities for customers, employees and industry experts.
Together we have traveled the world to help extended the brand narrative and visual identity through events, customer stories, executive presentations, speeches, naming and product launches, interactive engagements, physical experiences, sales tools, microsites, email campaigns, billboards, posters, and even a coffee table book. For their largest annual conference Minds & Machines, we produced 381 minutes—6.35 hours of original content for the 2-day event.
Main Stage Keynote
Ganesh Bell, Chief Digital Officer, GE and Brian Hoff, Director Corporate Innovation, Exelon, walk the audience at Minds + Machines through the new Executive Dashboard features in GE's Predix™.
First Person® brought the Predix™ software to life with a new user experience and interface demonstrated through a choreographed simulation of live interactions between the executives on stage and expert operators from Gas, Wind and Nuclear power plants across the country.

Digital Power Plant
The Digital Power Plant combines the world’s most adaptable and reliable gas turbines with an exceedingly agile digital infrastructure, and leverages a suite of highly innovative, intelligent apps for the cloud and the edge built for the Industrial Internet, and Powered by Predix™.
Explaining Digital Twin
A Digital Twin is a physics-based software model of an industrial asset – like a jet engine or a turbine. They provide unique insights about performance and operation that help businesses make more informed decisions.
We approached the story of the Digital Twin by building a familiar set of metaphors based in real world examples that touch on everyday human experiences. The images in this series parallel the capabilities of the Digital Twin by comparing them to impossible but incredible things people might be able to do if they had a Digital Twin of their own.
User-First App Design
A dramatic refactoring of GE's Predix™ software for Power & Utilities. The new software embraces a user-first approach, designed around specific roles and responsibilities. It places simple and intuitive controls in the foreground for swift action around the most critical aspects of everyday operation.
Customizable dashboards from operator to the C-Suite provides a more insightful workflow enabling better business collaboration and visibility into assets, operations and people across the portfolio.
The Electricity Value Network
The EVN is a highly interactive sales tool designed to show GE software in action across the entire value network. Over twenty gamified stories leverage Hololens AR and touchscreens to show the financial, operational, and human outcomes that come from harnessing GE's suite of apps.
We have built two EVN models, enjoyed by tens of thousands of people in more than 13 counties.
