Ty Bardi is a Creative Director, writer and live-action director. He got his film degree from Columbia College in Chicago, spent brief stints in Miami and elsewhere, and finally settled in beautiful San Francisco. Initially hired to write and direct an animated series for WildBrain, he eventually found himself working in advertising and decided the industry was agreeable to his temperament. He worked at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners for six years on various accounts including Adobe, Google, Doritos, Chevrolet and Yahoo!. Somehow, he talked Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein into drinking whiskey and firing guns on camera to promote the agency's anniversary and ended up winning Gold at the National Addys for his trouble.
Ty directed several spots for First Person before coming on board as an in-house Creative Director. He brings a unique style of storytelling to client projects, often funny, occasionally touching. He likes to direct his own shoots because "performance is the one thing you can't fix in post."
Ty is heavily involved in the San Francisco comedy scene. He is a long-time writer for Killing My Lobster, a live sketch comedy troupe, and the creator of The Alphabet sketch comedy podcast. He also owns Sherman, First Person's resident office dog who only knows one trick, but it's a really great trick.
